Step 2:

Step 3:
Pour in the water and add salt (and pepper if using). Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
You’ll know it’s ready when the potatoes are very soft and the liquid turns slightly thick and cloudy.
