Ingredient Notes
4 Cups Fresh or Frozen Blueberries: If using fresh, make sure they are thoroughly rinsed and any stray stems are removed.

1.5 Cups Water: Used to simmer the berries and create the juice base.Alcoholic Beverages

1/3 Cup Granulated Sugar: Adjust this based on how naturally sweet your blueberries are. You can also substitute raw honey or maple syrup if preferred.

1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice: Essential for balancing the deep sweetness of the blueberries with a hint of bright acidity.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Simmer the Berries: In a medium stainless steel pot, combine the blueberries, water, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10–12 minutes. The blueberries will puff up and begin to burst, turning the water a rich purple.

Mash for Flavor: Take a potato masher or the back of a large wooden spoon and gently press down on the berries in the pot to release any remaining juices from the skins. Stir in the fresh lemon juice and remove from the heat.

Strain and Clarify: Place a fine-mesh strainer or a cheesecloth-lined sieve over a large bowl or pitcher. Pour the warm berry mixture through the strainer. Let the liquid drain completely. For a crystal-clear juice, avoid pressing heavily on the solids; if you prefer a slightly thicker juice with more body, you can press the pulp gently.

Chill and Bottle: Let the juice cool completely at room temperature, then place it in the refrigerator to chill thoroughly. Once cold, pour the vibrant juice into clear glass bottles, seal tightly, and tie with a matching ribbon if you are giving it as a gift.

Serve: Pour into tall glasses over plenty of ice and enjoy ice-cold.

Menu Harmony & Pairings
Sweet Breakfast Pairing: Enjoy a glass alongside a slice of warm, bakery-style Strawberry Cream Cheese Loaf for a beautiful berry-filled breakfast spread.

Savory Balance: The deep sweetness of blueberry juice is an excellent counterpoint to rich, savory dishes like smoky Slow Cooker Apple Onion Pork Chops or a bowl of 3-ingredient Potato and Butter Bean Stew.

Dessert Table: Feature it at a gathering next to a warm dish of baked Bread Pudding—the tart lemon and bright berry notes cut through the rich custard beautifully.
