  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef (80–85% lean)
  • 4 medium potatoes (russet or Yukon, diced into 1/2-inch cubes)
  • 4 large carrots (diced)
  • 2 packets dry onion soup mix
  • 1 1/2 cups water
