Five Flavor Pound Cake with Glaze

For the Five Flavor Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water or milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon rum extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt or tube pan.
  2. Cream butter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy (4–5 minutes).
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Add dry mixture to the batter in three parts, alternating with milk.
  6. Mix in all five extracts until fully combined.
  7. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 70–80 minutes.
  8. Cool in the pan 15–20 minutes, then transfer to a rack to finish cooling.
  9. Whisk glaze ingredients together and drizzle over the cooled cake.
